DEPARTMENT
Ramsay IB High School has a tradition of hosting a quality choral music education. The Ramsay IB High School Choral Department is one of Excellence and has a long-standing reputation of producing one of the better ensembles in Birmingham. Being comprised of students from all over the Greater Birmingham Metropolitan Area gives the RIBHCD a distinct advantage to taking students with various backgrounds and having them work together to make one music!
Zachary A. Banks, (B.A., B.M.) choral director, has taught choral music in the state of Alabama for 5+ years and is a 2002 Graduate of Ramsay High School. While attending RHS, Banks was a member of the RHS Concert Choir for all 4 years under the direction of the late Ms. Myrna Ria Ross.
Mr. Banks aims to strengthen and further the legacy of the RHS Choral Department with the teachings and backing of his predecessors as a guide.
